At Curtis Moore we take great pride in the quality of our work and how we conduct ourselves. Everywhere from client interaction, customer service, design, right through to completion.
We make a point of striving for perfection in every project, which would not be possible if the proper precautions were not taken and we did not conduct ourselves in a way that makes sure the job is done efficiently. It’s something that simply cannot be overlooked and must be taken seriously at all times.
We have had the pleasure of working with GSK since 2013 in their overall expansion project of their plant in Irvine. A forward-thinking company with similar values to that of Curtis Moore, which is probably why the relationship has flourished during our involvement in the £70 million project.
GSK operate their working sites on a system known as ‘5S’ – Sort, Store, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. Core values on how they run the business and want not only their employees but also their sub-contractors, suppliers and partners as well. Every contractor follows the 5S rule.
On a project of this magnitude there are a number of contractors, who are experts in their field, working alongside each other to ensure that GSK are left with what they envisioned when they embarked on the expansion project.
In order to keep everyone up to date they send out a monthly newsletter which also announces the winner of the prestigious annual ‘5S Award’ which has various categories. We are delighted to announce that we have won the 5s individual award and the newsletter award.
The 5S Award is a good practice award that GSK give to contractors annually if they adhere to all the H&S compliance, as well as the company that have gone above and beyond to help GSK and help the project progress. This includes things like managing stock and work area, keeping the working site clean and safe.
We are delighted to be involved in this ongoing project and to be recognized for our high standard of work by winning the 5S award instills a great sense of pride in our team. We look forward to continuing our work with GSK and can’t wait to see how the project progresses in the coming years.
