Back in December we blogged about our Yorkshire office commencing work on site at the new Lifestyle Centre in Crewe and we’re pleased to share that the project is now nearing completion. It is our second successive award from major contractors Kier, and we are delighted to be involved in this building which will be a very valuable addition to the community.
Our directors visited from Glasgow in February and put in some elbow grease, you can read more about their trip here. The roof areas have been waterproofed with various specifications ranging from a built up ICOPAL warm roof on perforated Deck to Topdeck by Kingspan, hot melt and traditional built up membranes on metal decking.
We have now almost complete all 5,000 sq.m of roof works and our cladding teams are making great progress with the external Kingspan cladding works. The cladding comprises of various widths and colours of Kingspan FL Panel, with areas of Trespa Rainscreen and Aluminium Cassette panels to the feature eyebrows. Works are expected to be complete within the next 6 weeks.
For the client – Cheshire East Council – the Lifestyle concept is the integration of all the services that citizens need in relation to their lifestyle in one place. A place to read and learn, to exercise, to have a health related check-up, to participate in community events and to receive social services on offer by the Council. The Lifestyle Centre will provide new all-inclusive leisure facilities, modern family and adult social care provision and community facilities all in one place.
Works are scheduled to be complete on site for Curtis Moore by the end of May 2015.
