Our very own Ashleigh Devlin, Sales and Marketing Manager here at Curtis Moore, has recently completed the MacMillan 7 Star Challenge to raise much needed funds for Cancer Support – 1 day, 5 hours, 7 classes of intense exercise classes – not one for the faint hearted!Ashleigh took part in this year’s event at the The South Lanarkshire Lifestyle’s Centre in Hamilton on Sunday 11th January. It challenged participants to take part in 5 hours of back to back fitness classes, including body step, insanity workout and thai boxing! Not an easy challenge in the slightest!

It was Ashleigh’s second time taking part in the event, she was inspired to get involved by her friend who works with MacMillan.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. One in two of us will get cancer. 2.5 million of us are living with it. In some way we are all affected by cancer at one point in our lives, this event is a great way of getting everyone together to help fight it.The event was organised by two sisters who sadly lost their father to cancer, and this year their fundraising challenge managed to raise an incredible £4406.90 for MacMillan Cancer Support. So far they have raised £20,988.26 in total for the charity, and you can donate and check their next event here – www.justgiving.com/tracey-dalziel4/

The whole team at Curtis Moore are all extremely impressed and delighted by Ashleigh’s efforts in support of such a good cause, we might even need to ask her some of her secrets as to how you manage to do 5 hours of intense work-out!

You can keep up to date with all the goings on here at Curtis Moore through our social media channels and right here on our blog.
