A warm welcome to our latest Apprentice, Jack Docherty

We are delighted to kick off Scottish Apprenticeship Week with a warm welcome to our latest Apprentice, Jack Docherty.

Jack, 18, joins Curtis Moore this week as a Roof Sheeting & Cladding Apprentice. The Apprenticeship programme, lasting 4 years, will see Jack start at the National Construction College (NCC) this month. The first two years will be split between college-based and work-based learning, with the final two years focussing on work-based learning on site with our team of experienced operatives and site managers. Jack has already started to gain valuable on-site experience at one of our projects in the Central Belt.

Prior to starting his apprenticeship, Jack received support from Action for Children, who helped him gain industry standard qualifications and practical work experience, all of which stood him in good stead for taking on the role.

Julie Ferguson, HR Manager at Curtis Moore said, “We are delighted to expand our apprenticeship programme by taking on yet another young person, keen to start a career in construction. Jack is an enthusiastic young man who is already showing great potential in the short time he’s been working on site. We are pleased to be supporting Jack as he completes his apprenticeship, and we look forward to see him progress and develop at Curtis Moore.”
