Curtis Moore is delighted to be working with main contractor Morrison Construction on the construction of the new £8million St Paul’s Primary School in Orchy Crescent, Paisley. The Curtis Moore team will be on site in August to install Kalzip roof and wall cladding in the new build school.
The state-of-the-art campus is to be shared with Foxlea Pre-Five Centre and will be one level, making it accessible to all of the school’s 199 pupils, staff and visitors, with 50 car parking spaces provided. The new school has been designed to reduce the time required to walk between lessons, allowing access from the gym to the pitch.
The school facilities will include a gym hall, dance studio, canteen, internet ready classrooms with teaching aids and modern technology, kitchens, dining space and cloakrooms. A centrally located studio space will serve as a gathering area for pupils waiting for lunch and to provide shelter during bad weather. Both St Paul’s and Foxlea Pre-Five Centre can utilise the space to hold dance and movement classes.
The outdoor area will feature an all-weather sports pitch, playground with graphics and games painted into the ground surface, quiet spaces, covered outdoor classrooms, a recycled tyre park/play zone, and a garden area with allotment and raised planters. There will also be scooter parking and secure bike racks available to encourage pupils to ride their bikes to school.
We are delighted to secure another contract with Morrison Construction whom we’ve conducted various projects for in the recent past.
