Curtis Moore is pleased to have worked alongside main contractors Morrison Construction on another exciting project, the new Spirit AeroSystems aeronautical paint and finishing facility in Prestwick, Ayrshire.
The £5m construction of the new paint finishing centre replaced two existing paint facilities and formed an extension to Building 90 in the project. Curtis Moore was on site to install Kalzip roofing along with Eurobond Rockspan panels on the walls of the structure.
The project was well supported, with Spirit AeroSystems receiving a Scottish Enterprise Regional Selective Assistance grant of £450,000 and Scottish Enterprise Training Aid grant of £1m. Both grants will help safeguard current jobs as well as create new opportunities at the facility.
