The Curtis Moore team are delighted to have begun work on site at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre in Hampshire with Wates Construction.
Building work on the project, which will be the third-largest conference centre in the south-east after the Olympia Conference Centre and the ExCeL in London, is well underway.
Curtis Moore will be installing 12,548m2 ofEuroclad SF500 pitched roof with some acoustic areas and a 3,372m2 area of flat roof, totalling 15,920M of combined roof. We are also installing 8093m2 ofEurobond S5 wall panels on the new state-of-the-art structure.
It will be one of the largest buildings in Hampshire when it’s completed, 12,500 metres of exhibition space which is enough for two football pitches.
Venue director Michael Watton told a local newspaper: “We’re week 15 of a 69 week programme now so up until three weeks ago, very much it was at ground level, laying the foundations and stabilising the ground and since then the steel work has started to come out of the ground.”
