At Curtis Moore, local community involvement is very important to us and we regularly support and donate to charitable causes and community groups. We recently sponsored a fantastic boxing night for young boxers in Cambuslang along with our generous suppliers Regis Roofing Supplies in Cambuslang, Onestop Safety Systems in Hamilton and Rance & Caithness Roofing & Cladding in Blantyre.
A great fight on the night
The top-class home show night was put on by head coach Archie Durie of Durie’s Boxing Club in the Cambuslang Institute on the 15th of April. The boxing club is rather close to our hearts as Ben, 8, rising star of the amateur scene and son of our Contracts Manager, Jim Hamilton, took part in this momentous occasion – his first ever fight. The young boxer put in a stellar performance and wowed the judges during his bout with Jacob Naismith of Blantyre ABC. Well done to Ben!
Durie’s are a well-established boxing club, having been on the go for ten years and have enjoyed success with boxers representing Scotland and made history after becoming the first Scottish club to have two winners at the Hull Box Cup in England.
All welcome
Durie’s Boxing Club are welcoming of both genders and all ages and abilities and are proud of their family-like atmosphere and community.
If you think your child would be interested in joining the club, contact Archie Durie on 07590515576, check out Durie’s BC Facebook page or just attend the club at 211 Cambuslang Road, Unit 10, Hillhouse Industrial Estate, Cambuslang.
