A few months ago, we spoke about a contract we had secured for a large project in the north of the Scotland. The focus of this work, delivered by hub North Scotland was to provide new and improved education facilities in Wick.
After visiting for a progress trip in October, we are delighted that the project, which will make a significant contribution to the local community, has now reached a milestone, with the Noss Primary School section now complete.
Our role in this project was to provide roofing and cladding services, which continues as the Wick campus project also takes shape. This separate project is one of a much larger scale, with the new campus set to feature a wide range of facilities and an innovative design.
Both projects are contemporary in their style and design and while the Wick campus is still in development, it is encouraging to see the first section at Noss Primary, now completed.
The school, which is set to open this month, features 14 classrooms, a games hall, dining hall and a library amongst other facilities. Not only will the project make a contribution to the modernisation of the local community but also to education in the area.
We’re delighted to be a part of this impressive project, working with main contractor Morrison Construction, and we now look forward to continuing work on the Wick campus project, providing structural decking, standing seam roofing and wall panel cladding, amongst other services.
This final stage of the project will work towards developing an innovative campus, with a large range of onsite facilities, such as a swimming pool, large sports pitches and a fitness suite, again emphasizing the great contribution being made to the local community in Wick.
