Home Bargains

We are delighted to have worked with Luddon Construction on the development of Stirling’s first Home Bargains store, with the Curtis Moore team installing Kingspan composite panel on the roof and walls of the unit.

The £1.7m 20,000 ft2 retail unit on Glasgow Road officially opened on Saturday 11th February, joining over 50 outlets already in Scotland and creating up to 50 new jobs in the community.

The UK-wide retailer giant offers shoppers a large range of products, from fresh and frozen food to sweets, drinks and snacks alongside health and beauty products and homewares.

The majority of our works were the installation of Kingspan composite panels on the roof and walls. The roof cladding being Kingspan KS1000RW and wall cladding being various colours of KS1000FL, vertically laid. Kingspan has prefabricated 5-metre lengths of their KS1000 flat-panel to give the corners a desirable finish.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed working with a Luddon team who had already been successful together at one of our projects at GlaxoSmithKline in Irvine. The majority of our works ran through August and September 2017.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “The store opening was a great success and we’d like to thank Stirling residents for their warm welcome.

“We’re thrilled by the response we’ve already seen from shoppers in Stirling and are looking forward to seeing more new customers come through the doors.

“We’d also like to thank all staff members for ensuring the launch day ran as smoothly as possible.”
