This week we celebrated the 65th birthday of our Design Manager, Charlie Biggerstaff!
Charlie has been with Curtis Moore since 2011 and he brings a wealth of experience to our talented team, having worked in construction for over 45 years.
He started in the industry with Kelvin Structures and trained as a structural draughtsman before moving into the roofing industry, where he remains today.
At Curtis Moore, he is responsible for all aspects of the design process from inception to completion, liaising with the client’s project team and our own in-house departments to produce the drawing and scheduling packages required, including technical back-up for our own contracts team.
An interesting fact about Charlie is that in his spare time he takes part in battlefield re-enactments. He started training with Kevin McManus of the Clan Fight School in Glasgow in 2015 to learn traditional Scottish fighting techniques and broadsword skills along with his son Graeme.
His birthday was on Wednesday 1st of February and we held a surprise birthday lnch for him with an Indian buffet and lots of cake – Happy Birthday Charlie!
