We are delighted to be working directly with South Lanarkshire Council on the refurbishment of Hallside Primary School in Cambuslang as part of the council’s School’s Modernisation Programme. The Curtis Moore team have been involved in a variety of school refurbishment projects with South Lanarkshire Council over the years as well as other local authorities in the education sector.
Involved in our scope of works is refurbishment of the existing roof as well as installation of the roof and walls to the school’s new build extension. The team has been on site at the primary school since the beginning of September, removing the tiles and roof lights from the existing roof.
Installation is scheduled to begin on the 22nd of September when we will be installing the new Kalzip standing seam roof and Velux roof lights on the existing building. The new build extension will be getting similar treatment, also having a low u-value Kalzip standing seam roof installed along with vertical Kalzip to the walls.
These works are part of a £3.5 million plan to extend the Cambuslang school, with the extension providing staff and pupils with a new dining room, kitchen, stage, plant room, toilets, offices and storage space, as well as two additional classrooms.
