Curtis Moore has enjoyed a particularly busy first quarter to the year, and the second quarter is certainly shaping up to be the same with lots of new business and quotations going out on a daily basis.
However, it’s not been all work and no play. Last Thursday night we were delighted to entertain some of our clients and suppliers, and at the same time, support a very worthy cause. We were delighted to take a table at the Enable Sportsman’s Dinner in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow.
Enable Scotland do invaluable work throughout Scotland in support of those with learning disabilities, and Curtis Moore is proud to be associated with such a worth while and effective organisation.
The night was a great success thanks in no small way to Jim White of Sky Sports fame. He was a very able host, pulling together the programme on the evening and conducting a very good charity auction. Of course, no dinner of this kind would be complete without a good entertainment programme, Enable Scotland certainly didn’t disappoint. The initial speaker was globally recognised football referee, Howard Webb who provided some great insights to an illustrious career.
There was also a large degree of humour to the evening, especially in the brilliant delivery from the very talented John Gahagan, surely the new Chick Murray on the Scottish comic scene!
However, the star of the night was trainee Chef, Kieran. Appropriately, a fitting testimonial to the work of Enable Scotland. Kieran delivered a very professional and heart-warming presentation with the confidence that was the envy of many of the hundreds of guests in the room. His story was a fitting testament to the excellent work Enable Scotland do everyday for thousands of people with learning difficulties. Kieran has overcome many obstacles in his short life, and with the help of Enable, looks to have a bright future.

Curtis Moore is delighted to be able to support many great causes, and it is particularly pleasing when we can celebrate the work of these charities with some of our clients and suppliers. Thursday night was another opportunity for us to give something back and to introduce the work of a great charity to some of the people who are important to us.
