We pride ourselves on the expertise of our talented team and we appreciate the importance of staff development, which is why we invest heavily in continuous training to enhance our skillsets.
Most recently, we have focused on in-house training for our designers. We held four blocks of Revit training for our design team. The course was entitled ‘Typical Project Revit Training’ and was specifically geared for the roofing & cladding industry.
The bespoke course specifically looked at best practice for applying BIM and AutoDesk Revit to architectural projects. Building Information Modelling is a process that utilises and looks to enhance the interoperability of the multiple software platforms and information workflows available to AEC professionals in order to facilitate more efficient & collaborative means of working and delivery of projects.
Autodesk describe Revit as BIM software that “includes features for architectural design, MEP and structural engineering and construction. Revit supports a multi-discipline, collaborative design process.”
In order to work on complex and large-scale projects, it is important that we’re using the most up to date technology available to deliver best results for the client. The ultimate outcome of well-planned continuing professional development is that it safeguards the public, the employer, the individual and their career, so it has many benefits.
The training was tailored to our requirements and delivered by Digital Guerilla, a training consultancy which brings together leading experts to support the Scottish Construction Market.
