At the beginning of year, we introduced an Employee of the Quarter scheme with the aim of motivating staff, encouraging teamwork and recognising hard work.
So far we have had Chaz and Jim as joint winners, then we had Stuart Milne, this time round we’re delighted to announce at our quarterly office lunch that our Employee of the Quarter is Alan McIntosh!
Alan is our Trainee CAD Designer and at 27 he’s one of the youngest and most recent additions to the team. Although he hasn’t been here as long as some of the others, he has been involved in some key contracts and most recently he excelled himself when he took the lead on an internal project to upgrade our IT infrastructure.
The success of this has meant that our team are now all operating on the same system using the applications that allow for better collaboration and communication internally through Microsoft Office 365.
On a more personal level, Alan has also achieved remarkable success in his commitment to loose weight this year. In just 8 months he has lost an astounding 9 stone and to some who don’t see him everyday, the transformation is almost unrecognizable.
He managed this the good old fashioned by way by changing his diet, exercising and cutting out alcohol, he even ran the Great Scottish Run earlier this month – not an easy shift by anyone’s standards but he stuck with it and the results are impressive.
Not only do we appreciate his efforts with the office IT move in and want to congratulate him on his personal achievements, Alan is also a very popular member of staff. He’s very fond of a wind up and forever has a smile on his face and keeps everyone in the office entertained.
For his Employee of the Quarter prize he has chosen to go to Amsterdam for the weekend with his dad and we hope they both have a amazing trip!
