At Curtis Moore (Cladding Systems) Ltd, we are incredibly proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Gold Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award by the Ministry of Defence. This honour recognises our ongoing commitment and exceptional support for the Armed Forces community—a cause that is deeply ingrained in our company culture and values.
Last Thursday, on October 31st, our Managing Director, Andrew Devlin, and our Pre-Construction Director had the privilege of attending an awards dinner held at the historic Edinburgh Castle. There, alongside 13 other outstanding organisations, they accepted the Gold Award on behalf of Curtis Moore, marking a momentous occasion that underscores our commitment to supporting those who serve.
Our relationship with the Armed Forces Covenant extends over several years, during which we have actively supported and advocated for the Armed Forces community. This includes providing additional paid leave for Reservists, implementing supportive HR policies for Veterans, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and the spouses and partners of those currently serving.
Receiving the Gold Employer Award is especially meaningful to us, as one of our directors is a serving Reservist soldier with 6 Scots, based at Maryhill. His dedication to serving our country while contributing to our team at Curtis Moore exemplifies the strong bond we share with the Armed Forces community.
Our journey with the Armed Forces Covenant has been filled with memorable moments and significant milestones. In 2023, our Managing Director, Andrew Devlin, had the privilege of visiting the winter warfare training camp in Bardufoss, Norway. This experience offered a unique insight into the rigorous training and dedication of our Armed Forces personnel.
Achieving Gold Employer status is not just an accolade; it’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to the values of the Armed Forces Covenant. It reflects our dedication to creating a supportive workplace environment for those who have served, are currently serving, or are connected to someone who serves in the Armed Forces. We believe that these individuals bring invaluable skills, discipline, and experience to the workforce, and it is our honour to support them.
As we celebrate this significant achievement, we remain committed to fostering a strong partnership with the Armed Forces Covenant. We will continue to advocate for the benefits of supporting the Armed Forces community and encourage other organisations to join us in signing the Armed Forces Covenant and engaging with the Employer Recognition Scheme.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in the award process and to all our colleagues who have contributed to making Curtis Moore a deserving recipient of this prestigious honour.
