We were delighted to hear last week that one of our cladders, Ian Schofield, was awarded a £20 voucher from main contractor Russells Construction, in recognition of his proactive approach to safety on site at Vulcan Mill, Manchester.
Awarded as part of Russells ‘Work Wise’ initiative, Ian completed a voluntary observation card to suggest it would be beneficial to have a daily coordination meeting for exterior trades to help make each other aware of who is working in each area on the site. It is the first reward voucher issued on site since February this year.
Work Wise is one of a range of systems used by Russells to encourage employees, sub-contractors, clients, visitors and suppliers to raise concerns, suggest improvements and share best practice, in order that they can “work together to be the best.”
Wayne Bergqvist, Site Manager at Curtis Moore said “We were thrilled to hear that Ian’s proactive attitude to safety has been formally recognised by Russells Construction. We actively encourage this approach throughout the entire business to help us maintain our first-class reputation and further strengthen the relationships with our clients.”
