Earlier on this year we introduced a new Employee of the Quarter scheme with the aim of motivating staff, encouraging teamwork and recognising the hard work put in by some people in particular. This time we’re delighted to announce that our Employee of the Quarter is Stuart Milne!
Stuart is one of our designers and in the 18 months he’s been here he has been involved in some key projects including Wick Primary and Secondary Schools where we we have a team working at the moment.
In the interest of democracy the winner is elected by by a staff vote. Everyone votes for who think most deserves to win, all they have to do is give reasons as to why they think this and the person with the most votes wins.
Amongst being reliable, honest, funny and hard working, staff noted that Stuart is a very helpful colleague, nothing is ever a problem and the team were impressed by his successful work on some very complex projects recently. Our Managing Director also wanted to add that Stuart can be quite the comedian at time, and as you may well know from our Christmas video message we enjoy a bit of humour here at Curtis Moore.
Stuart is from the windswept Shetland Islands. He studied Architecture at Strathclyde University and achieved an honours degree and Postgraduate diploma in the subject. Before joining Curtis Moore he gained experience in an architectural firm in the Netherlands working on design and specification of building envelope and cladding systems.
He is soon to be happily married to his fiancé, Shelley, and he says that the demands of their very spirited 6-month old daughter, Sunniva, means that he doesn’t have much spare time but when a free pass is granted, a peaceful spot of fishing with a wee hip flask is the perfect way for him to relax.
For his Employee of the Quarter reward Stuart has chosen a well deserved weekend break in the sunny beach resort of Vilamoura in Portugal.
Well done Stuart, enjoy your holiday!
