We are delighted to announce that we will be working alongside Kier Construction on the development of the new £32million Alness Academy.
The brand-new school will be home to 660 pupils in the Scottish Highlands. Inside the development will include sports facilities, such as two 3G pitches, a 25m swimming pool, a games hall and a gymnasium.
Curtis Moore will be begin working on the project this month, installing standing seam roofing as well as built-up wall cladding systems on the entire project.
The Press & Journal Scottish News Site report that the current Alness Academy has suffered many problems over the years, including at least 218 examples of asbestos that was found in roofs, walls, doors and even classrooms.
The academy will be demolished, and the new school is hoped to be open and in use by Spring 2020.
Curtis Moore are delighted to have secured another contract with Kier Construction, who we’ve worked with in the past on other projects including Ayr Academy and Marr College.
