Last month our CEO, Andrew Devlin and Group Financial Director, Yvonne Devlin were honoured to attend the ‘Every Thank You Counts’ Charity Ball at the Double Tree by Hilton in Glasgow – a hugely successful night that raised more than £250,000 to fund a pre-teen ‘chill-out’ facility in the Schiehallion Unit at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
The Ball was organised by friends Molly Cuddihy, 17, and Sara Millar, 16, who met in a teenage common room at the Hospital while they were both undergoing life-saving treatment. Upset at seeing a younger patient turned away from the teenage common room, the girls set out to raise the money for a dedicated pre-teen common room so that all patients had a ‘happy place’ to relax in and enjoy away from the gruelling programme of treatment.
On behalf of Curtis Moore, Andrew and Yvonne were delighted to donate prizes for the charity auction and pledged a further donation towards MOTOmed physiotherapy bikes for the ward.
Well done to Molly and Sara for raising such a huge amount for a most deserving cause!
