The Pharmaceutical Sector is another complex sector that Curtis Moore has a wealth of experience working in. One of our longest partnerships is with pharmaceutical giant Glaxosmithkline (GSK) at their plant in Irvine, North Ayrshire. GSK are in the process of a £70 million overall expansion of its Irvine penicillin-making plant and over the last 7 years, Curtis Moore have progressed through the site working on the re-roofing and recladding of a number of the key buildings which have remained operational throughout the works.
Given the nature of these projects/this sector, Curtis Moore have always been involved from a very early stage working with the client to offer guidance and support on the safest methods of stripping and replacing to avoid any disturbance in the day to day working of the plant as well as offering advice on specification, project co-ordination and sequencing of the works.
With this sensitive environment, very specific health and safety and security processes have had to be adopted and adhered to throughout.
