Curtis Moore is delighted to have been recognised at the 2018 NFRC Scottish Roofing Contractor of the Year Awards which took place on Friday 26th October at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

We were finalists in the best Rainscreen category for the work we carried out on Dundee Railway Station and much to our delight, we won!

It means a great deal as this was a particularly challenging project that we are all very proud of and it’s great to receive such glowing recognition from our much-respected peers. The complex geometry of Dundee Station coupled with the fact it was situated at a live railway station in the busy area of Dundee Waterfront made for a more challenging project.

Not only this, the volume of other trades working at any one point along with a deadline for completion prior to the Golf Open in Carnoustie starting on the 15th July increased the challenges and although the majority of the project was done within normal working hours, the trackside work at the west elevation was all completed during nightshift.

The NFRC Scottish Roofing Contractor of the Year Awards recognise and reward outstanding standards of workmanship and technical expertise in the roofing and cladding industry within Scotland. They are judged by an independent panel and the winning entries are assessed for exceptional standards of workmanship and technical expertise across 13 categories of roofing and cladding.

The Awards were presented to the winners by TV Presenter, Jackie Bird and 10 of the Curtis Moore team who attended the event had a great time, it’s always nice to be able to celebrate all the hard work and effort put in by the entire staff team.

Well done team and thanks to NFRC for the award!
