Specialist Design

Although our principal activities are that of an Industrial Roofing and Cladding Contractor, we also operate a Specialist systems division. Within the division, we offer a specification and design service specialising in Architectural panel, column encasure and bullnose systems, as follows:

	Cassette panel systems
	Plank panel systems
	Flat panel systems
	Aluminium column encasures
	Bullnose aerofoil systems
	Rain screens

We are often called upon to present and develop ideas and specifications to form entranceways, bullnose aerofoils, column encasures and feature panels. Included within our remit is the design and construction of all associated structural and secondary steel requirements for the project.

When requested by a Client to develop a scheme, we would call upon the expertise of our local fabricators and work in partnership to design and develop the system. Opposite are examples of recently completed projects whereby Curtis Moore have installed not only the panelling systems, but also the necessary structural and secondary support steelwork.

As can be seen from illustrations 2 and 3, we have been involved in the formation of entranceway and reception facilities. This project in particular incorporated the formation of reception area, desks and column encasures. We also installed the lighting units and opaque panelling.

We have been involved extensively in the housing sector of the industry whereby we have been called upon to present and develop ideas for features around penthouse flats and developments. Illustration 5 shows a recently completed project in Edinburgh whereby the rotunda shaped penthouse was clad in pre-coated tapered cassette soffit panels and associated flashings.

Illustration 6 shows a recently completed facia and soffit system which was installed to the penthouse flats located within a listed property in the centre of Glasgow. The soffits comprised pre-coated plank panels and associated flashings.
