Maintenance / Minor
Works
Whilst Curtis Moore's activities are principally involved in major roofing and cladding projects, we do recognise that there is a requirement for reactive and on-going roofing maintenance services.
We operate a division within the company which concentrates purely on reactive maintenance and small projects. We offer on site 24 hour service to deal with emergency roof leakage problems.
Within the division, we also offer preventative maintenance and minor roofing upgrade services as follows:
 |
Gutter cleaning |
 |
Seamless gutter linings |
 |
Replacement / Introduction of Rooflights |
 |
General on-going roof maintenance work |
We are often called to roof leakage problems where the fault lies not within the roof coverings, but existing gutters which have either corroded or leakage problems at the joints. Whilst temporary sealing measures can often resolve the problem on a short term basis, re-lining is normally a far better long term option.
In the past, gutter replacement would normally involve the removal of existing sheeting and subsequently prove to be an expensive exercise. Curtis Moore are approved installers of several gutter linings which are not only flexible, but in many cases seamless, and can be installed in one continuous length, thus eliminating potentially leaking joints.
The flexibility of the liners allows the gutter profile to be folded in to position, thus eliminating the need to remove the existing roof sheets, thus reducing the cost. Rainwater outlets are simply installed and sealed to the new liner, discharging through the existing
Downpipes.
Another aspect of the division's activities is the replacement and introduction of rooflights to existing buildings.
Rooflights in old buildings are generally manufactured from GRP which, over the years become discoloured and subsequently reduce the level of daylight entering the building. Curtis Moore are often called upon to replace existing rooflights for the purposes of increasing natural daylight in to buildings, thus reducing the Client's lighting costs.
